DIY Sun Jar

from sunjar.nl

In the daytime I place my Sun Jar on the windowsill,
so the little solarpanel recharges the battery,
when it's dark the Led makes a handy and pretty nightlight!

For this you need a jar, a solar gardenlight, some glue and frosting spray.
I couldn't find any frosting spray so I used frosting paint.

How To:
You just frost the glass jar, disassemble the garden light,
stick the solarpanel with LED on the inside of the lid of the jar (which you don't frost!).
And Voila!

DIY Bebe Inspired Skirt

My inspiration came from a Bebe skirt worn by Kim Kardashian.
It was a very tough fabric to work with (Ikea $4), so I couldn't get the shape from
the Bebe skirt, but I still love it though, high waisted+hot pink!
In contrast to this DIY the Ikea Multicolor Skirt from a previous post was a breeze!

Benjamin Bunny Banana Muffins

I remember going into a Beattrix Potter store when I was little, in the Lake District I think,
and I was just amazed, everything was so cute and English!
I listened to the stories on cassettes over a thousand times!
The cassettes also had some awsome music to go with the stories.
This recipe comes from peterrabbit.com

You will need:
  • 100g dark brown sugar
  • 125g butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 300g plain flour
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • 3 medium size bananas, peeled and mashed
  • 100g bran flakes
  • 60 ml semi-skimmed milk

What to do:
  1. Preheat the oven to 190ºC, Gas Mark 5 and have ready a 12 cup muffin tin lined with paper muffin cases.
  2. Put the sugar and 100g of butter in a bowl and whisk together until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the eggs beating well after each addition.
  4. Mix the flour and baking powder together and fold lightly into the muffin mixture, then stir in the bananas, bran flakes and milk.
  5. Divide between the muffin cases and bake for about 25 mins or until golden and cooked.
  6. Allow to cool before tucking in!

+ I also added 1 tsp of cinnamon (love it!), 3/4 tsp of nutmeg, a pinch of salt
   and some chocolate chips.
Delicious & Super Easy!

Why Engineers Don't Write Recipe Books

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
  1. 532.35 cm3 gluten
  2. 4.9 cm3 NaHCO3
  3. 4.9 cm3 refined halite
  4. 236.6 cm3 partially hydrogenated tallow triglyceride
  5. 177.45 cm3 crystalline C12H22O11
  6. 177.45 cm3 unrefined C12H22O11
  7. 4.9 cm3 methyl ether of protocatechuic aldehyde
  8. Two calcium carbonate-encapsulated avian albumen-coated protein
  9. 473.2 cm3 theobroma cacao
  10. 236.6 cm3 de-encapsulated legume meats (sieve size #10)
To a 2 litre jacketed round reactor vessel (reactor #1) with an overall heat transfer coefficient of about 100 Btu/°F-ft2-hr, add ingredients one, two and three with constant agitation. In a second 2 litre reactor vessel with a radial flow impeller operating at 100 rpm, add ingredients four, five, six, and seven until the mixture is homogenous.
To reactor #2, add ingredient eight, followed by three equal volumes of the homogenous mixture in reactor #1. Additionally, add ingredient nine and ten slowly, with constant agitation. Care must be taken at this point in the reaction to control any temperature rise that may be the result of an exothermic reaction.
Using a screw extrude attached to a #4 nodulizer, place the mixture piece-meal on a 316SS sheet (300 x 600 mm). Heat in a 460°K oven for a period of time that is in agreement with Frank & Johnston's first order rate expression (see JACOS, 21, 55), or until golden brown. Once the reaction is complete, place the sheet on a 25°C heat-transfer table, allowing the product to come to equilibrium.
