Jimmy V was an American college basketball coach.
He was diagnosed with bone cancer in 1992.
In 1993 he won the Arthur Ashe Courage and Humanitarian Award at the first ESPY awards.
Here he gave a very moving and inspirational speech, one of my favorite speeches.
Only 8 weeks later he died.
His tombstone reads: "Take time every day to laugh, to think, to cry."
